Date
The Nubia Modern Museum in Aswan is an excellent example of coordinated cooperation between the Egyptian government and the UNESCO International Cultural Organization. As early as 1959, the Egyptian authorities appealed to the international community to help preserve the antiquities of Upper Egypt, including the Nubian culture. As a result, an international fundraising committee was formed, but the efforts of the partner countries were in vain until UNESCO joined the Nubian Antiquities in 1975. Since February 1981, a series of seminars have been held under the auspices of UNESCO on Nubian issues and, once again, the search for money. To open a museum containing monuments of Nubian culture. Indeed, for the first time and only once in the history of this international organization, it took an interest in the problem of organizing a local museum, and launched an international campaign for this.
It was finally launched on February 4, 1986. Since then, it has become an important cultural center for the region and the country, the management and staff of the Foundation have already managed to take the achievements of Nubian civilization to the international level, and make them available to the general public.
